Probably most elegant carbon aerodynamic kits in the World.
I recently met Pavel Dolganovsky, the owner of the tuning studio Renegade Design. This boutique tuning studio specialises in manufacturing forged wheels and aerodynamic body kits made from fiberglass and carbon for top-tier global automotive brands.
Their creations are already delivered to 55 countries worldwide, standing proudly on par with competitors like AC Schnitzer, Hamann Motorsport, Lumma, and Lorinser! I find it remarkable that talented innovators in Russia are now engaging in internationally competitive manufacturing, with a focus on creativity rather than conflict.
This week, we had the privilege of assisting Renegade Design in certifying their materials for aerodynamic kits in Germany. The certification was based on tests conducted in one of TÜV’s specialised laboratories in Germany. During the tests, fiberglass and carbon samples, produced in compliance with German requirements, were subjected to crash simulations.
The goal was to assess the safety level of the materials (particularly the shape and trajectory of the fragments upon impact) to ensure they meet safety standards for all road users, especially pedestrians. I’m pleased to report that the tests were a success: according to German authorities, the fiberglass and carbon used by Renegade Design fully comply with Germany’s stringent safety standards!
In the Summer of 2021, we embarked on a photoshoot with the one and only BMW X7 (G07) fitted with a carbon body kit from Renegade Design, covering 2,000 km across the scenic roads of south-western Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and France.
As for the driving experience BMW has done something truly incredible: this massive SUV, being a bit unwieldy on the narrow streets, behaves on the highway astonishingly like the long-wheelbase BMW 7-Series limousine - especially if suspension and transmission are both in "Sport" modes.
